JAMES MORRIS MUSEUM & ALINE BROTHIER MORRIS READING ROOM
Founded January 19, 1935 The James Morris Museum & Aline Brothier Morris Reading Room were gifted to the Town of Morris, Connecticut by Robert Morris, grandson of James Morris. The Museum offers insights into the Morris Family Collection and The Reading Room presents a quiet place to read or gather for educational purposes.
Did you know the Reading Room has a collection of works from past students of James Morris School? To celebrate the 250th birthday of the Mill School House, we have an interactive display available that will evoke all kinds of nostalgic 'feels' for those who attended James Morris School. Visit us during regular library hours to check it out!
Here at James Morris Museum & Aline Brothier Morris Reading Room, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits. None of this would be possible without the continued support from The New York Community Trust Fund.
The James Morris Museum & Aline Brothier Morris Reading Room Committee provides support in maintaining the Museum and Reading Room Collection. Items within the rooms contain priceless heirlooms, paintings, photographs, furniture, books and fine dining essentials.
Are you a patron looking for a space to host your next meeting or not-for-profit event? Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for an application to reserve the Reading Room.
