ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

Photography Contest 2022: Photos entered into this year's contest must adhere to the theme "People, Places and Things Around Morris." Contest deadline is October 31; all photos must be matted and brought to the Reading Room by this time for judging. Awards will be given out in adult and youth categories for Best Black and White, Best Color, Best Landscape and Best Portrait.

Eligibility: Contestant must be the sole creator of the photograph. Digitally enhanced or altered photos are ineligible. Minor adjustments could be made, such as removal of sensor dust or scratches on scans of negatives, dodging and burning, sharpening, contrast, toning, slight color adjustments, and conversion to grayscale. Photos that violate or infringe upon another person's rights are not eligible. Photos determined by The James Morris Museum and Aline Brothier Reading Room Committee as inappropriate are ineligible.

Rights: You retain your rights to your photograph, however by entering the contest, you grant The James Morris Museum a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works for the entry, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising and promotion of the newsletter, social media, and publications. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. The James Morris Museum will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.

By submitting a photograph in the competition, you indicate consent to participate in the James Morris Museum Photography Competition. You are responsible for adhering to all deadlines.
